Cutting

The FORMIT chateau barrel cutters produce an almost perfect chateau barrel without any variation. The final product is carefully processed in the FORMIT chateau cutter and there is no damage caused to the final product. The final product is ready to be used after washing.

THE CUTTING PROCESS
During the cutting process, the cutter first cuts the ends and then the seven sides. After cutting the ends, the raw material is positioned in the shape cutter which forms the sides. After each cut, the raw material is rotated and the following side is formed. As several products are shaped simultaneously, each cutting movement produces one finished chateau barrel.

RAW MATERIAL
The normal raw materials used are potatoes and carrots, however other raw materials can also be used. We recommend that the raw material is first washed and pre-peeled. With the proper preparation of the raw material, the machine will operate better and the cutting knives will have a longer user-life.
